No matter how good your people are and how well thought-out your strategies, you need cash. Healthy cash-flow is the lifeblood of a successful business.
Very large companies can turn to city institutions when they need assistance but most businesses are dependent on banks and finance companies for finances. And those that do not fit the banks' sometimes inflexible criteria need to look elsewhere for funding.
At Marshman Price, we are experienced in helping businesses address their cash needs, whatever their circumstances. We can provide you with access to finance service providers and investors that can resolve your financial problems.
Negotiating with Lenders
If you're working with the business section of a high street bank, it's important to be able to state your position clearly and to argue your case well. Success - or failure - can depend on how well you put your case. Our experience and expertise, coupled with our contacts in the business community, can help you put your best case to your lender so you get a favourable response.
Asset Based Finance
Small and medium-sized businesses sometimes use their sales ledgers as a source of finance by factoring their invoices. In effect, a factoring company buys the business' invoices at a discount, in return for immediate payment and then collects the full amount from the customer. This can be a useful tool for generating immediate cash-flow, although it should be used with care. We have relationships with many of the providers of factoring services and can advise clients which are the most appropriate and help them prepare a business proposal.
Businesses can also use their stocks and physical assets as the basis of a financial arrangement and again we can help clients negotiate funding with appropriate lenders.
