Local Insolvency Practitioners in successful business sale

Local business recovery & insolvency specialists Marshman Price, together with legal advisers Spearing Waite, have successfully completed the sale of Nottingham based Back-Up Transport, saving 4 jobs and ensuring a continued service to its customers.

Neil Marshman and Alan Price were appointed joint administrators to Back-Up Transport when the business went into administration on 20th February 2009.  Arrangements had been made for an immediate sale to an independent third party and as a result the business will continue to provide transport and warehousing support services to customers throughout the UK.  The continuity of the business also prevents substantial liabilities crystallising under finance leases which should be good news for ordinary creditors.

Speaking about the sale, Marshman Price representative, Alan Price, said “We are very pleased with the outcome for the customers and creditors of Back-Up Transport, its new owners and especially the employees.”
