Iceberg Marketing into Liquidation

Northampton based Iceberg Marketing plc was placed into liquidation on 9th March 2009 after all their attempts to save the company had failed.

The cessation of the company, operating out of Rushmills, has resulted in 13 redundancies after negotiations to sell part of the business were unsuccessful yesterday.

The business saw turnover fall by more than 80% in eight months trading to March 2009 and that, coupled with the banking and financial industry reducing its spending on marketing events, resulted in shareholders appointing locally-based business rescue and insolvency specialists Marshman Price as a matter of urgency.

Joint liquidator, Gary Pettit of Marshman Price, said “Our quick action upon being appointed to this case, together with the EMW Picton Howelll legal team, has safeguarded and enhanced the Company assets.   This includes negotiations that are forecast to improve book debt realisations by some £130,000, which should give creditors a much better outcome.  Details of our actions to date will be presented at a meeting of creditors on Monday.” [23rd April 2009]

Iceberg Marketing plc was a full service marketing agency with divisions handling marketing/branding, print management and PR.
